BIO: Self-trained musician and activist, Christa Ebert, performs as Uno Lady and composes songs with her voice, electronic effect pedals, and unconventional instruments. Her music includes dream-like layers, looping ethereal tones, instruments and beats, all knit together into one lush soundscape. Her unique talent has been acknowledged with various awards, including Chateau Orquvaux artist-in-residency, Creative Workforce Fellow, Akron Soul Train fellow, and a Panza Foundation awardee.

For Music Monday, while I prep for Saturday’s show in NYC, I’d like to share, “The Story Of Everybody” off the Tacocat 7″ (2010). This song has been hitting home lately. Flashback to when I had the time consuming idea to wood burn all the lyrics into taco shells.
The first pressing of Amateur Hour has sold out! I’m pretty exited about selling out of a self-released and self-distributed record. Although it means I’ll have less merch to offer at shows, it feels like I completed a chapter.
That being said, I have 200 record covers living in my attic and the master stampers if anyone else is interested in putting out a second limited pressing 🙂
