“Wed 7/13 @ 6-9PM The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has dramatically upped the number of performances it’s presenting this summer, and its traditional free Summer in the City series, taking place outdoors on its plaza, is focusing mainly on the wealth of talent in our own backyard.

“Uno Lady aka Christa Ebert, who won a CPAC Creative Workforce Fellowship for her unusual music, which is created entirely by layering her voice with a sequencer to create dreamy, melodic tunes that are hard to resist. She’ll share the bill with indie rock quartet Goldmines whose moody sound is driven with an intense, if subliminal, energy.- Cool Cleveland

Escape the RNC and travel to near by Pittsburgh  (aka Pizzaburgh) for LADYFEST!  Ladyfest is an annual three-day festival featuring female-fronted and female-dominant acts. Ladyfest showcases the contributions women musicians are making in various genres. A portion of  the proceeds benefits the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.

Ladyfest is July 15-17. Uno Lady performs Saturday @ Spirit around 9:30 pm.

I was invited to collaborate with a stranger and we made a pretty sweet song for a compilation. The One and Only Matt Miller, from Pennsylvania, and I wrote “Hysterical Laughter” for Songs from the City Earth, Vol. I., released by Fringe Sound Records.

“Fringe Sound Records’ second release, while not strictly an experiment in cross-genre collaboration, is largely an album whose ten songs involve a number of artists who may never have come together to make music had they not been challenged to do so.”
