Please join me Saturday, April 4, @1PM, at SPACES (2900 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113) for a collaboration with Steve Parker’s installation, Fight Song.
This incredible installation uses an EEG brain monitor to translate my brainwaves into a live musical composition that plays through the suspended instruments. I will respond live to the compositions with my own improv accapella song. This performance is at 1 PM. The event is free but registration is encouraged because space is limited: SIGN UP HERE!
“Using sonic therapy and marching band traditions to explore themes of healing, injury, and labor through the lens of football culture, SPACES artist-in-residence Steve Parker will transform the Gund Gallery into an immersive sound sculpture. Titled FIGHT SONG, this site-specific installation includes an array of salvaged marching band instruments suspended from the ceiling, creating an environment for visitors to participate in an interactive meditation using an EEG brain monitor that translates their brainwaves into live musical compositions.”
